About ON7
ON7 was started by a mother in Dubai who could not find what she was looking for.
So she made it herself. Premium kids' clothing, designed in Dubai and cut in small runs: cotton futer hoodies, joggers, tees and matching sets for children aged 2 to 12, in heights 92 to 152.
It started with my own two
Children's clothes here tend to fall into two camps. There is the cheap end, which is polyester dressed as cotton, pills after four washes and is unwearable by the second term. And there is the luxury end, beautifully made, priced like adult clothing, and treated so preciously it never actually reaches the playground.
Neither is any use to a parent with a six-year-old, a scooter and a laundry basket. I started ON7 for my own children. I wanted them comfortable enough to forget what they were wearing, and still pleased with how they looked in it. Those two things are not supposed to be in tension, and in good clothes they are not.
So every piece begins the same way. I ask whether I would put my own child in it on a Tuesday morning, and whether I would still be happy to see it on them a year later. Most ideas do not survive that question. The ones that do become a drop.
Clothes that could be worn every single day, washed a hundred times, and still be good enough to pass on.
The fabric is the whole decision
Everything we make in jersey is cut from cotton futer, a looped-back knit, brushed on the inside so it sits soft against skin without the slippery feel of a synthetic fleece.
It is heavier than t-shirt jersey and it behaves differently over time. Instead of pilling and thinning, it softens. A hoodie is at its best in year two, which is exactly when a cheaper one has been thrown away. More on the knit in what is cotton futer.
Colour is set before the fabric is cut, not after the garment is made. That is slower and more expensive, and it is the reason a graphite hoodie is still graphite after a hundred washes rather than a tired grey. It is also why a set bought as a set still matches a year in, because both halves come off the same roll.
Polyester fleece, brushed acrylic, or anything that squeaks when you rub it. Not on principle alone: those fabrics trap heat, hold smell, and look worn out long before the child has outgrown them. The only synthetic we use is a few percent of elastane, in cuffs and waistbands, so they spring back instead of going slack.

ON7 is designed in Dubai, at Dubai Digital Park in Silicon Oasis. That is not a line on a label. A child here crosses a twenty-degree gap five or six times a day, from a car park at forty-five to a classroom at twenty, and most children's clothing is built for one side of that.
So the weights are chosen for this climate rather than a European winter. Cotton that breathes when it is worn outside and holds warmth in air conditioning. Layers that come on and off one-handed, because that is how they are actually used. Every decision gets tested against a school run, a scooter and a washing machine.
We would rather say less here and have all of it be true than publish a page of sustainability language we cannot stand behind.
One run, then we stop
We produce one run of each piece per season and then stop. No restock, no mid-season top-up, no quiet reissue in a slightly worse fabric.
This is partly practical. ON7 is one person, a mother running the brand on her own, and we cannot carry the inventory risk of a large brand. But it also keeps us honest. When a run has to last, you do not thin the fabric to protect a margin, because there is no second batch to make it up on.
Navy blue sold out in the first week of Drop 01 and it is not coming back this season. That is how this is meant to work.
Four things we will not do
One considered run at a time, rather than a new micro-collection every six weeks.
Cotton futer and cotton jersey. If we cannot make a piece well in a natural fibre, we do not make it.
Every decision is tested against a playground, a scooter and a washing machine, not a lookbook.
Our sets cost less because they cost us less to make and ship. That is the only reason.
